You have to go in Trichy - Chennai highway for 42 kms and then take a left cut to reach this village. This Temple is situated in a small village called Thirupatoor, which is at a distance of about 42 kms from Trichy. Therefore it is easier to hire / share a Taxi to the highway siding and walk cross the highway to the Trichy side where there is proper Bus shelter and buses every minute to Trichy. On the way back, you can find buses at one hour frequency outside the temple but there is no time table displayed. Its only Rs.20 if you have waiting time at hand. If you wish to hire your own, its much easier at Rs.150 (for 8 PAX vehicle). You will have to wait for accumulating the seating capacity. You will have share taxis waiting for passengers. From that stop walk about 50 metres into the Tirupattur cut (there are prominent signages on the highway siding itself showing the direction to temple).
